Create a course, enroll a student and add an Assignment 
Make sure that some kind of notification is enabled
Grade the student in order to trigger the notification allert
Wait for cron to do is job
Login as the student who just was graded
Go to View full notification or output/popup/notifications.php
Verify that the assignment logo overlaps the notification text area in notifications page
