Having been a Moodle teacher, and trainer, for years I find myself often having to go to various places to check:

      1) The opening (and possible ending date) of my (or someone's) course

      2) Whether the course is visible to students or hidden from students

      3) Whether any group mode is set at the course level, and whether it is forced.

I believe such information should be displayed directly on the course page - somewhere near the top, close to the course name and its menu. It should be visible to teachers, managers, and admins.

The addition would especially facilitate the administrative workflow of teachers and managers / admins preparing / auditing / troubleshooting courses. The visibility of the course dates would specifically help the teachers exercise better control over their Dashboards / My courses page and the contents of the course filtering tabs available there.
