In MDL-72089 the selected state of filters on the My courses page was removed. However, as commented by pmk  in the issue, this change is unhelpful.

As presented by barbararamiro in a meeting, students and teachers can easily change a filter so that the My courses page displays no courses, then forget they changed the filter and get confused about why their courses are no longer listed when they return to the page.

Thus, how about we once again show the selected state (as for Timeline block filters).
