I was just playing around with giving the classic 'deny naughty user from posting' and came across a dodgy error message.

• assign a user which has posted a message a role which denies posting & editing of forum posts
• As the user, try to edit a previously posted forum post
• Get error message saying 'You cannot start a new discussion in this forum'

Which isn't very intuitive for a user trying to edit their previous message.
