Changing forum subscription mode from Forced to Auto subscription does not subscribe the users

      Change the subscription mode from the "Edit settings" page.

      • Create a course.
      • Enrol some students to course.
      • Create a standard forum with "Subscription mode" set to "Forced subscription"
      • Go to the forum main page.
      • Click on the "cog" icon.
      • Click on the "Show/edit current subscribers"
      • You should see all enroled users
      • Go to the forum main page
      • Click on the "cog" icon
      • Click on the "Auto subscription" link
      • Click on the "Show/edit current subscribers"
      • You should see all enroled users

Click on the "Show/edit current subscribers" You should see all enroled users Go to the forum main page Click on the "cog" icon Click on the "Auto subscription" link Click on the "Show/edit current subscribers" You should see all enroled users  

      When the subscription mode of a "Forced subscription" forum is changed to "Auto subscription" from the "Edit settings" page of the forum, people enroled in the course are shown in the "Show/Edit current subscribers" page of the forum. This seems to be the expected behaviour. 

      When the subscription mode of a "Forced subscription" forum is changed to "Auto subscription" from the "Auto subscription" link of the cog icon present in the forum's page, people are not shown in the "Show/Edit current subscribers" page of the forum. This seems to be an unexpected bahaviour. This issue fixes this.

      This issue seems to be is a subset of MDL-38224.
