I just realised there's never been a proper bug filed about the Content Management.

Moodle needs a more robust backend for storing files. Some things this Digital Library should be able to do include:

• storage of any file

• multiple levels of metadata (eg site, course, activity)

• versioning

• access control

• easy interface (not only the GUI, but URLs too)

• able to use files or database without changing the interface

• WebDAV?
