Problem: I have created a quiz that can be finished in 3 attempts.

Several students have gone halfways through the quiz, then closed their attempt - submit all and finish

A few hours or a day later, they try the second attempt.

The system shows them the answers given earlier at the first attempt, however, they don't show any scores.

The students then answer the remaing questions, since the ones already answered are not answerable any more.

End result: They end up with a bad grade since their first attempt only covers the first half of the quiz and the second attempt fails to use the scores on the first half of the quiz (from the first attempt) - although it shows all the correct and incorrect answers given.
Endgrade is the average of 2 half courses

I think the problem is the 'Each attempt builds on last one' setting.

The quiz is confusing becuase there are so many options. However, I don't think there are any options that coud be removed without upsetting somebody. It does mean that there are combinations of options that have not been thoroughly tested, and it looks like you have found one.

Enter as moodlebug/moodlebug - the course involved has only 1 quiz.

      I'll give you teacher credentials
