I first raised this after the closing of MDL-64092. The patch offered there introduced a third line with "action" links.
I expressed some criticisms of this solution:

• The links are a bit wasteful of space
• The links are not styled like links
• They links too often repeat the same URL - there is a need to create a list of the action link URL's in various situations - especially students, but perhaps also teachers
