Log in as an admin Create a course if none exists Go to that course's participants (enrolled users) page TEST: Make sure that the field is wide enough to display whole placeholder text "Search keyword or select filter" Go to Site administration > Language > Language customisation Open English (en) language pack for editing In the field "Show strings of these components" select "moodle.php" Set the field "String identifier" to "userfilterplaceholder" Press "Show strings" Customize the string "Search keyword or select filter" so that it reads something even longer, such as "Please provide a search keyword or select a filter from the list" Press "Save changes to the language pack" Go to the participants page again TEST: Make sure the field is again wide enough to display the whole placeholder.
