The Course Overview Block's timeline displays quizzes and assignments for the next 7 days, as well as the next 30. This (30 day default view) makes sense for a 15-16 week semester. It does not, however, make as much sense for a 7-8 week quarter system.

In effect, the user is bombarded with half all quizzes/assignments from the beginning of the quarter.  The usefulness is drowned out when you see half a semester's worth of assignments. In the settings option, it would be nice to set more locally appropriate periods of time such as 1 week, 2 weeks, 3, weeks, instead of the default 30 days.
