The myoverview block uses a set of hardcoded colors. These colors might not fit the theme in use or teachers / admins might want to change these colors.

A solution to this issue can be to add global settings for courses to define 10 colors to be assigned at random to courses. Then have a per-course setting to select a different colour either from the 10 colors defined globally or choose a custom color.
