MOODLE_33_STABLE, MOODLE_34_STABLE
Because you can no longer change the number of course topics or weeks in the admin panel, it is onerous for faculty that want to remove a large number of sections at once. This is problematic for us, because our default courses use a weekly format with 14 weeks. If faculty wish to use a topics format instead, with only a few topics, it is a big pain for them to remove unneeded topics.
Can we create a button, similar to the add section button in MDL-58837, that will let faculty remove multiple sections? If faculty remove sections with content, use the same warning note that you have for individual deleted sections. While the "add sections button" helps with the fallout from the MDL-57769 "improvement", we still lost key functionality.
Test instructions:
- Create a course in weeks format
- Click "remove weeks" in the bottom and make sure you can remove any number of weeks-up to the number currently in the course.
- Check accessibility of the modal
- Check that "Enter" works instead of pressing "Add"
- Delete empty section, make sure there is no confirmation dialogue
- Delete non-empty section(s) (one that has activities or summary), make sure there is a confirmation dialogue
- If items were deleted, see if they appear in recycle bin
