Hi there, I am hoping that this is a relatively simple request to slightly change the workflow for grading assignments. It has been requested by assignment graders.

Workflow for grading assignments

Currently, when you go to the assignment grading page, you need to click on the filter just below the 'page turner' to filter for ungraded assignments. Graders would prefer to only see the assignments that need grading on this page.

If the grading page was ‘pre-filtered’ to only show assignments that need grading then this would save two mouse clicks (and some annoyance).

This appears to be the current workflow for grading assignments:

1. go to the assignment
2. filter for ungraded assignments
3. go to the grading page
4. This launches the new grading workflow.
5. the first non-graded assignment displays
6. in the drop down, ungraded assignments have an asterisk next to them. 
7. If they grade this submission and go to the next student, this student may or may not need grading. This makes no sense to staff as a grading workflow should only show them work that needs grading.
8. To see assignments that require grading, the filter for 'requires grading' using the filter just below the 'page turner' (the filter remains on the page until you select something else...)
9. only assignments requiring grading display

Note: After step 3, unfortunately the "Needs grading" filter is lost. The page turner lists all students, regardless of submission state (not submitted, graded, needs grading).

Would it be possible to change this workflow to:

1. go to the assignment
2. filter for ungraded assignments
3. go to the grading page
4. filter is pre-set to ‘requires grading’
5. first non-graded assignment displays, and scrolling through, only assignments requiring grading display
6. in the drop down, ungraded assignments have an asterisk next to them AND there is an option to show ‘all assignments’ (in case this is required).

Please note that I also tested this on the http://school.demo.moodle.net site.
