Moodle will time out a user is inactive for a long time. When marking long reports, entry to a marking page can be long enough to trigger a log out and marking work will not be saved. I have seen an example of staff with long reports (100pages+) entering words for marking and losing their marking on a time-out.

Can an auto save be applied to the assignment marking page.
