When logged in as admin or manager, but role switched to Learner (renamed from Student), if you |View all entries for this course| in the Blog menu, entries published to |Yourself (draft)| by learners on the course are visible to you, ie visible to learner role. In fact they should not be visible to any other learners.

And in reality they aren't visible to other learners - if I create a dummy learner and login as that learner and look, those draft entries are not visible. Ditto if I login as admin, go to a learner's profile and |login as|, I can't see other learner's draft blog entries.

The problem is just that, if as manager or admin (designing the course) you change role, Moodle is not faithfully representing what that role will be able to see.
