MOODLE_31_STABLE
I suggest a feature that would establish a maximum number of simultaneous course enrollments per student. This could be useful for schools and universities that have a curriculum structure (e.g., students must take X and only X courses per semester, among which students have some flexibility of choice). A further improvement would be to limit the number of courses in which a student can enroll per course category. Again, many schools and universities have division requirements that call for students to enroll in X courses per division (e.g., one course in humanities, one course in the natural sciences, etc). Furthermore, such a feature would make Moodle more useful for commercial applications in which users pay a set fee for access to X courses of their choosing per month/semester/year.
