The page message/edit.php is very confusing. Not activated functions are showing, and for students some of the settings propably makes little sense.

1. Settings for Badges are shown, even when badges is not activated in Moodle
2. Settings for manual and self enrollment expiry are probably just confusing and could be mandatory and hidden from message/edit.php
3. Settings for inbound messages are shown, even when this is not activated in Moodle
4. Settings for Jabber are shown, even when Jabber is not activated in Moodle
