Buy a macbook air. View the messaging interface (or resize your window to be less than 671px tall), the messaging area should be shorter by 100px than on a full HD screen.

Try some different sizes and see if you agree with the breakpoint at 671px (It must be the same in both themes remember).

Currently the messaging interface is responsive with the width, but not height.
