We're experiencing some unexpected behaviour with a duplicated quiz.
The duplicate has been edited to include a new set of random question categories and saved. In fact, in the preview of the quiz, it appears to be drawing the correct questions from the new set of random question categories; however, students are reporting that the questions they are seeing when taking the quiz reflect those from the categories in the original quiz. This is extremely puzzling since my preview is showing what I expect, but the students are getting a different version.
Now, when I look into the attempts by students, the duplicate version is indeed drawing the questions from categories belonging to the original quiz. And when I click on Edit Quiz, lo and behold, the categories are exactly the same categories that I set up for the original quiz.
This issue appears to be similar to https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-50298?jql=text~%22duplicate%20and%20edit%20quiz%22., as well as https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-45851. At the same time, my issue is almost the opposite of this instance, since what is happening in my course is the duplicate quiz reverting to the original quiz, but what I see in the preview is the changes I made to the duplicate.
Any idea how to fix this problem?
