During the usability study a participant was asked to send a message, but attempted to do so by adding a note, which is a quite a different feature from messaging, but sounds like it could have similar functionality.

Recommendations

• Turn notes off by default.
• Replace terminology with:
  • Attach Note or
  • Add Teacher's Note
