Allow any Moodle activity event (e.g. workshop submission, approaching due date on an assignment, quiz closing date) send an email alert to students, teachers or both. Would require an alert to be set up by the teacher, triggered by the event. Alerts might be sent to one student (e.g. when a peer assessment is ready to be marked in the Workshop) or to an entire cohort - for an impending assessment due date (taking into account due date overrides for particular students). I realise this is a big ask, but thought I'd put the idea out there, as a lack of alerts is a recurring issue across Moodle activities, so rather than build them in to each activity I wondered if a centralised alert plugin might work.
