Setup: A course with gradable activities.

Go to Grades -> Setup (Categories and items)

Default aggregation should (on a fresh install) be Natural.

Give an activity Extra Credit.

Confirm a '+' appears next to the assignment in the Grade column and when you hover 'Extra credit' pops up.

Repeat for other aggregation methods.

Changing aggregation method.

Edit icon on the course row in the same view as above.

No other aggregations appearing to change to?

Site Administration -> Grades -> Grade category settings

On the set up screen, using only 'Simple weighted mean of grades', the items which are extra credit ones are not identifiable.
