Message search button is missing

      1. My profile -> Messages
      2a. No unread messages.
      Search form with input field is displayed. Search button is not displayed.
      2b. Some unread messages
      Search button is not displayed under the contact list.
      3. Choose Message navigation -> Contacts.
      4. Search button is displayed under the contact list.
      5. Press search button.
      6. Search form with input field is displayed. Search button is not displayed.

      If you directly navigate to /message/index.php and you don't have any unread messages you see the search. In any other circumstance I'm quite confident that there used to be a button under your contacts to allow you to access search.
