First of all, I must confess that I've not looked for existing tests, but it seems that we are not covering frontpage settings at all (list of courses, of categories, combo...).

From memory I've participated/reported various issues along the last years there (collapse/expand not working...).

It would be really great to have all the options there (logged/not logged) properly covered at least to quickly detect regressions like the one introduced by MDL-46031 that was detected only because my integration site was configured to show list of categories).

That's all, to avoid forgetting it.
