Open the equation editor Type in a sentence (or preferably some TeX with multiple macros): This is a short sentence Place the cursor at the start of the textbox and press a button in the toolbar Confirm that it was inserted at the beginning of the line Reset Place the cursor in the middle of the first word Insert from the toolbar Confirm that it was inserted after the first word Reset Place the cursor at the end of the first word (but before the space) Insert from the toolbar Confirm that it was inserted after the first word Reset Place the cursor at the beginning of the second word (just after the space) Insert from the toolbar Confirm that it was inserted after the first word Reset Place the cursor at the end of the line Insert from the toolbar Confirm that it was inserted at end of the line Reset Play around and see if it works as you would expect.
