Manual Create an assignment. When the assignment is created, a calendar event is also created with the same name as the assignment and it appears in the sidebar block titled "Upcoming events." Go to the Moodle course page and turn editing on. Click the inline edit link (the image of the pencil and cursor), change the assignment name, and hit "Enter".
