I was trying to update my Moodle server to 2.6 and I was getting the error below:

Fatal error: Class 'Memcache' not found in /wwwcontent/moodle/moodle/cache/stores/memcache/lib.php on line 132

After I installed memcache and memcached on my server everything worked as expected

Moodle give me the same error if I try to click on Plugins>Caching>Configurations

will be (partly) resolved by

MDL-56273 purge_all() on unit tests can fail as store::initialise is different from store::initialise_unit_test_instance
