The gradebook display is messed up and misaligned for students when the gradebook contains at least one hidden subcategory (within another category).

Note: As far as I can tell, this is NOT a duplicate of MDL-33117, nor of any of the issues linked to that MDL. As of reporting date (Sept 23, 2013), this issue exists in Moodle 2.5.2+ as instantiated on the demo.moodle.net server.

REPRODUCTION STEPS:
You will need both teacher and student access to a course in order to test this issue.

Starting with an empty gradebook, as teacher:
STEP 1) Create a new grade category, call it "Cat 1".

STEP 2) Create a new grade item, all default settings, call it "X" and make it part of category "Cat 1".

STEP 3) Create a new grade category, call it "Cat 2", make it a subcategory of "Cat 1".

STEP 4) Hide the newly created category "Cat 2".

STEP 5) Create a new grade category, call it "Cat 3", at the same level as "Cat 1", i.e. its parent category is the overall course.

STEP 6) Create a new grade item, all default settings, call it "Y" and make it part of category "Cat 3".

STEP 7) Create a new grade item, all default settings, call it "Z" and make it part of category "Cat 3".

STEP 8) Log in as student (or switch role to "Student").

STEP 9) Navigate to the Grades display. You SHOULD see:

• Cat 1
  • X
• Cat 3
  • Y
  • Z

(i.e. Cat 2 should be invisible.)
