When configuring course badges criteria using course completion, it is possible to enter a minimum grade in the badge award criteria.

Now, when also Moodle course completion is enabled, and course completion requires a minimum grade, in the badge criteria you are still able to set a minimum grade to award the badge for course completion, grade that can be different from the required course completion grade.

That way you can award a badge for course completion for a grade of "50" and mark complete the course for a grade of "80". This can be very misleading for teachers as well as students, looks like a piece of logic is missing.

      Possible solutions:

      • when Moodle course completion is not enabled in the course, a minimum score can be entered as course completion badge criteria (as it is now)
      • when Moodle course completion is enabled, criteria to award badges upon course completion should be bound to the criteria entered in the course completion criteria page.

A similar situation is present also when awarding badges for Activity completion, where you can enter a date of expected completion which seems to duplicate the very same settings in the activity completion criteria. Possible solutions are the same as above
