MOODLE_24_STABLE
Teacher have the ability to specify if the rank is outputed or not for student for a specific course. However, if a student go in his Overview report from a course displaying ranks, he will see his ranks for all his courses. If the student go to his grade overview report from a course not displaying rank, he will not see rank in any course, not even the ones that should have it.
To reproduce:
- Create both Course A and Course B, with a teacher and two students
- Both courses have an online text assignment, graded on 100
- Set for the course in ► Grade administration ► Course grade settings ► Grades ► Edit ► Course settings:
- Course A don't output ranks in grade overview report,
- course B do output rank
- Log in with teachers and for both course, grade Student 1 with 75 and student 2 with 25
- Log in with a student.
- Go in Course A, Course administration > Grades > Overview report
- Array with two columns are displayed, first column is course name and the other is the grade. Rank is not displayed for Course B.
- Go in Course B, Course administration > Grades > Overview report
- Array with three columns are displayed, first column is course name, 2nd is grade and the 3rd is the rank. Rank is displayed for Course B AND course A.
NOTE: I just realize that for older courses, the rank don't outputed for my students and this is the expected behavior. However, creating new courses have the wrong behavior as I've show above... maybe it related to a change in course creation?
