Expectation: Teacher would like to upload a Microsoft Word file to a course to make it available for download to students.

1. Teacher logs in.
2. Teacher turns editing on.
3. Teacher adds a resource (file).
4. Upon uploading file, teacher receives a popup window with the message:

"word document filetype cannot be accepted"

Upload failed on Windows XP machine in both:

• Internet Explorer 8
• Firefox 12

Teacher had been able to use this computer with previous version of Moodle (we had 2.2x). Failure of upload has occurred since the upgrade to the new Moodle version which we completed last week.

As a note, the teacher upgraded Firefox to the most recent version, and the issue was resolved. Also, there were no problems with uploading the same files on her work Macintosh. It seems to be browser-specific. I can recommend to all of my users that they upgrade their browsers, but I'm concerned that some users may experience difficulties despite warnings.
