Issue
Alt text 1 - Every icon preceding a link on the course page should have an empty alt attribute (alt="") or be handled through CSS instead.
Alt text 2 - The icons preceding a link to download or consume content have potentially misleading or confusing alt attributes, such as "Assignment", "File", "Quiz" or "Forum" when put next to the real text links that lead to such content.
Link purpose - The purpose of the links on the different icons mentioned in alt text 2 is difficult to make out and would be more useful for users if combined to the text links that follow.
Adjacent links - There are a lot of links that are accompanied by an icon while both elements have their own redundant adjacent links. It would be best to merge these links and treating the images as decorative content to significantly reduce the cognitive load.
