When dragging a file to a course it creates a new file resource. This file resource is not given a description. A description is a required field for a file resource according the update form. I user gets an error when editing to add a description.

This isn't the best for usability. Either description should not be required for a file or drag and drop to the course page should provide a description of the file, the same as it does for the file name field.
