Please see if you can add the ability to search file's meta data in the "Server Files" repository.

For Administrators or Teachers...
show all files on the server, even files that are not available for the current user with the ability to send a share request to the "owner" user who uploaded the file. ( I know it raises some security issues, but it can also promote sharing of reasources )
