My name is Luis and I'm a student of Computer Science at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, currently elaborating my graduation conclusion project.

In this project I will create a new version of the moodle chat module.

My motivation to rewrite this chat module is due to problems we have at the Federal University of Santa Catarina regarding: overhead when there are many connected users and educational problems of their use.

Could you kindly enumerate which problems have you faced with the Moodle chat, and also any suggestions for this new implementation, whether structural, educational or any other.
