The multimedia filter is so useful, and enables a lot of the filepicker stuff to work properly (eg images, videos). It's not heavy on CPU either.

The activity names filter makes Moodle courses more into wikis with autolinking between everything. It's really a key feature of Moodle.

I think a lot of people never find these features because they are not enabled by default.

These definitely should be enabled by default.
