The "Convert URLs into links and images" filter should not convert HTML links that point to audio files (e.g. MP3 files) to HTML links, because this prevents Moodle's audio player from being displayed.

EDIT.- Quite simply, I think that the "Convert URLs into links and images" should not try to convert links that are already inserted inside <a href="http://...">---</a> links!
