I've open the certificates generated in mnet services and the commonMame was truncated.
I've revised the x509 standard and the 64 characters is the limit of de field commonName.
I've revised the mnet/lib.php ant there is a limit of 64 characters in commonName, if this value is greeter, moodle can't get an openssl certificate.

Actually in moodle 1.9.x the request certificate for mnet services uses the $CFG->wwwroot varible, for fill the field commonName of the certificate, limiting the URL to 64 characters to use with mnet services.
