MOODLE_20_STABLE, MOODLE_21_STABLE
In 2.x the settings and navigation blocks are present on most pages and on certain pages the Add a block block is also displayed when editing is turned on.
This is particularly noticeable in fixed width themes.
This combination makes it difficult to use pages such as assignment grading, quiz results as the usable space in the central area is much reduced. This issue is made worse because:
The position of the Add a block block cannot be changed.
It is not possible to turn editing off without returning to the course page.
The results and grading tables do not scroll horizontally all of the time.
Suggestions to fix:
Enable repositioning of add a block block in all contexts.
Make turn editing on button visible when not on course page and/or as a suitable link to setting block for contexts other than course.
Ensure that grading/results tables always scroll horizontally.
