The main way in which I am going to be using subcategories is to store variations on a theme.

It is of course possible to call up each of the sub categories and then arrange for one random question from each of the subcategories to be in the instance of the quiz.

But it would save a lot of time if instead of bringing each subcategory up one by one, one could instead use the including subcategories option and when this option is checked, there also appear another check box called only one question from each subcategory?

I am not sure if other people are thinking of using subcategories in this way. Since a recommendation from Ger I have been creating lots of subcategories for this reason.
