Doing QA test, the test fails on

5. Check the 'Show only new' box then try submitting a few messages.
6. Check that only the most recent message is displayed.

When refresh is clicked the show new only box remains ticks and behaves as expected, however when a new message is sent it forgets the show only new option and shows all messages each time.
