I suggest the addition of the ability to apply mathematical filters to be used with numeric data. The filters suggested are "greater than", "greater than or equal to", "less than", and "less that or equal to". Filters have been added only to the custom user profile field filtering option.

      I modified the code in

      /lang/en_utf8/filters.php
      /users/filters/profilefield.php

All modifications are commented with "filter added".

The ability to perform such filtering within Moodle allows a school to perform administrative tasks based upon data stored in custom user profile fields. The method utilized however, may not be the most efficient.
