The vision-impaired user found the profile page quickly, by looking at the top right corner and then clicking their name. Blind users had much more trouble, often opening a list of links and laboriously reading through each one, trying to find "settings" or "profile." One user failed entirely, and had to be told which link to use.

      Why it matters

It's important not only that users can find their profile page but that Moodle inform them it exists. Without a clear label and path to this page some users may not know that the page exists at all. Those who searched a list of links typically ignored their own name.

      Possible solution

Each page should have a link to the user profile page called "your profile" or "your settings."
