All users had trouble finding the course home page from within the course. The most common strategy was to go to the site home page and find the course again. No user associated the course number in the breadcrumbs with the course they were taking.

Why it matters

After performing an activity, i.e., reading a lesson, users often return to the course home page. Given the difficulties with the jump menu, this is often the only way to navigate.

Possible solution

Each page within a course should have a link to the course home page called, e.g., "course home page."
