Martin raised the point that we may need to look at the number of characters we show on the navbar.
Point in fact is when upgrading the navbar message that explains what is going on gets trimmed.

Martin also mentioned that long titles forum discussions were not trimmed before... now they are.

We could solve this by simply deciding on how many characters we will permit and then creating a property for navbar so that the specific area of code being executed can override that value if they want.
