It would be nice to be able to organize blog posts which are relevant to particular courses or assignments. This issue has been brought up before in a different issue: http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-8776?focusedCommentId=46479#action_46479
The solution proposed here was to have separate blogs for each course. However, I feel that the blog component could benefit from the ability to associate blog posts with particular courses or assignments and allow filtered viewing showing only relevant posts, similar to how tagging is done. To me, this seems less confusing for the user than having separate blogs, and still allows for the same types of access control and viewing preferences which were also suggested in the comment I linked to. Furthermore, it facilitates and integrates well with the planned blog assignment module for this year's google summer of code projects: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Student_projects#Blog_Assignment_Type
Does this sound like an important feature for the blog module?
