Major Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a quiz that allows more than one attempt.
2. Attempt the quiz as a student. No problems here.
3. As teacher, edit the grade in the gradebook, or do something else that locks the grade.
4. As student, make a second attempt.
The problem is, what should happen now?
(This is a fundamental problem about the conceptual design of the gradebook that I have been raising for years. There are several threads in the gradebook forum. No-one has ever provided an answer.)
