In versions before 1.8, you could use the resource type "link to file or website" and point to an mp3 file and, if you had also specified that it display in the same window, it would be filtered and a flash player interface would appear, and a link for direct download would also be available.. This no longer seems to occur as of version 1.8.3. This is causing a problem on our upgraded from 1.6 site. (with over 8,000 mp3 audio lectures)

Version 1.9 beta has it functioning, like the 1.6 version. Displays in new window with player and link for direct download. This would be our preferred method of handling the mp3 file.
