For some reason modules are being mixed after copying a section from one course to another with the Sharing Cart block. It only happens some times but many of our clients has reported this issue.
Course formats affected:
TabTopics, Topics (maybe all of them)
To reproduce:
Course 1 (new)
1) Create a new empty course and set the active course format to "Topics" from the course settings
Course 2 (existing)
2) Go into an existing course and set the active course format to "Topics"
3) Add the Sharing Cart block to the existing course
4) Find a section with a lot of modules
5) Click the cog wheel icon in the header of the section and choose "Copy to Sharing Cart"
Course 1
6) Add the Sharing Cart block
7) Find the section you just copied into the Sharing Cart block
8) Click on the "copy to section" icon below your section in the Sharing Cart block
9) Click on the course section you want to import the copied section into
10) Wait until the section is copied from the Sharing Cart block into the choosen section on your course
The section modules should now be mixed up (not in the right order). As I said. It only happens some times.
I would expect modules to be in the same ordering as the modules in the original course. They are not.
