If subscription mode is allowed for a given advanced forum -  when a user posts anonymously and other subscribers are notified by email the ‘Anonymous User’ link in the email, when clicked, takes the recipient of the email to user profile of the sender on Moodle revealing the senders identity.

This is serious in as much as it undermines student confidence - especially as those choosing to post anonymously can have good reason for doing so and rightly expect anonymity to be maintained.
